Paint and Panel Equipment

Ever aware of environmental considerations, Woods Accident Repair Centres are delighted to be using the PPG Global Refinishing System, with paints which are more workplace friendly and environmentally safe.

Specially designed spray booths and HVLP spray guns reduce solvent emissions into the workshop and atmosphere. Woods in conjunction with PPG has pioneered the development of a roll on primer technique which further reduces the emission of isocyanates to the atmosphere.

Dry sanding with vacuum extraction eliminates the need for "wet rubbing" therefore avoiding the generation of dirty waste water. All filler dust is collected and disposed of in the correct manner.

Waste Collection and Disposal

All waste thinners, paint, glycol (radiator coolant), and oil are collected and disposed of by ERS (Environmental Recovery Services), an EPA accredited agent.

Air Conditioning Systems

When it is necessary to discharge an air conditioning system, all gases are recovered in specialised equipment by qualified technicians.

Recycling

Where possible Woods Accident Repair Centres recycle waste materials, including:
